Livewire Online is a free online community powered by Starlight Children’s Foundation for young people (and their siblings) aged 12-20 living with disability, serious illness or a chronic health condition. You can visit Livewire anytime to swap stories, ask for ideas, and talk about whatever’s going on in your life, from operations to issues with friends and family. We have everything from a moderated chatroom (operating and staffed from midday to midnight, 7 days per week) through to competitions, an active newsfeed, live streaming, special events and regular visits from celebrity guests.

The Livewire chat hosts listen, support discussions, and provide support without judgment. Every application is authorised with parental consent and proof of identity.

As one Livewire member puts it, “Thanks to everyone on here for giving me people to talk to, and for giving me a chance to be myself around people that aren’t my family, I’m so grateful that I have Livewire…”
