Clarence Valley is celebrating Mental Health Month with a Flathead Fishing Competition. With just a week to go, it’s time to dust off your fishing rod and reel, sharpen those hooks and get ready for October’s Clarence Valley Mental Health Month Flathead Fishing Competition. The competition has grown to include three new categories, an Open, Under 18’s and Under 12’s category. Our prize pool has also grown this year thanks to the generosity of our local event partners. Visit www.eventbrite.com.au to register.

About the event

Help celebrate this years Mental Health Month by taking some time out and venturing outdoors. We know that getting outside for a fishing experience can be restorative and good for your mental health. By taking a break from the day-to-day grind and reconnecting with nature, you become more mindful and present in the moment, helping you to unplug from the daily data storm and improve your mental wellbeing.
