Healthy North Coast is committed to improving the health of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and communities. Part of our commitment is to improve cultural safety and the quality of service delivered by health care providers to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
We invite you to join your primary health care colleagues for a cultural safety workshop in one of eight locations. This training will develop your understanding of cultural safety and how to ensure culturally safe health care. Morning and evening workshops are available in some locations.
The training will be delivered by Banaam Pty Ltd – leaders and innovators in the application of cultural frameworks to support cultural safety.
Each three-hour workshop is eligible for self-reported professional development points. A certificate of attendance will be provided upon completion.
This free-to-attend training is for all primary health care clinicians wanting to engage with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and gain a better understanding of Indigenous cultural principles.
