headspace Grafton and Carer Gateway are holding an information session on understanding the support available for family and friend carers of young people with disordered eating or eating disorders.
This will be held on Wednesday, 28 September between 6pm to 8pm at headspace Grafton.
It will provide an opportunity for carers to understand the services and support available and how to access them, as well as hear from a panel of representatives from all facets of disordered eating and eating disorders, including:
- an eating disorder specialist,
- representative of headspace Family and Friend Committee and
- representative of Carers NSW (dedicated Carer Gateway service provider in the Central Coast, Hunter New England and North Coast regions).
There will also be an opportunity to ask questions of the panel, and enjoy light refreshments.
If you provide support to a young person living with disordered eating or eating disorders, you are offering more than just an extension of your relationship to this person.This invaluable support plays a pivotal role in their life, but did you know there is support for you too through Carer Gateway?
Carer Gateway is an Australian Government initiative providing free emotional and physical services and support to carers.
