Free disability and sexuality webinars that Family Planning NSW will be delivered over April and May 2021. The webinars are aimed at disability sector workers and provide participants with strategies and resources to build confidence and gain skills in how to proactively support people with intellectual disability in the area of relationships and sexuality.
Participants can choose to attend either the first three webinars only, Introduction to Sexuality and Disability, or six webinars in total to complete Sexuality Matters! Part A: provide rights-based sexuality supports. Participants of Sexuality Matters Part A have the opportunity to complete a nationally accredited unit of competency: CHCEDU003: Provide sexual and reproductive health information to clients, which can be used towards a vocational qualification in disability/community services.
The courses are funded by NSW Health for NSW workers and are free to attend.
