The Strengthening Rural Communities program has two funding streams: Bushfire Recovery and Small & Vital

We want to take this opportunity to remind all those communities affected by the Sept 2019 – Feb 2020 bushfires that there is now a Bushfire Recovery funding stream within the Strengthening Rural Communities (SRC) program, sitting alongside the Small & Vital stream.

The Bushfire Recovery stream can support projects initiated and delivered by local community groups to aid in the recovery of fire-affected communities. Grants of up to $25,000 are available.

The national Small & Vital stream funds projects initiated and delivered by local community groups and not-for-profits, with a grant limit of up to $10,000.

Applications for either stream of the program can be submitted at anytime, but please take note of the key dates below for the current funding round. Dates for future rounds are detailed on the SRC website.

Round 7:

•    Applications close 5pm AEDT, 17 November 2020.

•    Applicants notified of outcomes by late March 2021.
