The Northern Brain Injury Rehabilitation Service (NBIRS) is part of the NSW state wide Brain Injury Rehabilitation Program covering the Tweed Heads to Grafton and west to Urbenville areas.
The team consists of Neuropsychology, Occupational Therapy; Speech Pathology, Case Management and more. The team is specially trained to support people with brain injuries. We work with adults (aged 16 to 65) who live in the northern New South Wales area.
We have a number of case managers approved by Lifetime Care. We can also link you up with other service providers in the area. There are links between city and country hospitals and rehabilitation units. This makes sure that your care continues, regardless of where you live.
We are a part of the NSW Agency for Clinical Innovation network to ensure that you receive the right health care at the right time and in the right place. By working with NBIRS you will have access to all of the knowledge and support available.
We are proud to provide best practice in the area of brain injury.”
