Domestic and Family Violence is a crisis in our, and every, community. The Kyogle Family and Domestic Violence Committee is committed to help end this crisis, and to this end have previously run free Bystander Training for the community, as well as holding events to raise awareness and start conversations about this difficult subject.
The Kyogle Evening branch of the Country Women’s Association, in conjunction with the Kyogle Family and Domestic Violence Committee are hosting a play reading of “It All Begins With Love” by Rod Ainsworth on Thursday 5 December at 6.30pm at the KMI Supper Room. We are also launching the Red Bench Project on the night, designed to help the community start a conversation about family and domestic violence. Guest speakers include Betty Taylor from the Red Rose Foundation.
We are inviting members from the community to view the play reading and would like to invite you to attend. As the content of the play is in part quite graphic, the audience will be restricted to those aged over 18 years.
We ask you to please register your place (there is no charge) at trybooking.com/BGFTM. We encourage you to book so that we can have an idea of numbers. If you are unable to attend, please encourage others in your workplace or community to attend instead. Refreshments will be provided, as well as a quiet space to speak to a counselor if you need.
We look forward to seeing you on the night.
