Develop your cultural awareness
Work directly with Aboriginal children? This workshop will provide you with an understanding of Indigenous culture and how it relates to the health and wellbeing of First Nations people.
Utilising an interactive, experiential learning model, this one day workshop will help you develop the skills needed to engage with Indigenous children and young people in a culturally informed way.
Spots are still available for our workshops in October and November.
Build Cultural Care Plans with our experts
It is a requirement that all Aboriginal children and young people in out-of-home care have Cultural Care and Cultural Support Plans.
Our Cultural Connections Workshop is a one-stop shop. We’ll outline the key elements of effective planning and showing you how to maintain the relationships and culture of a child’s life in care.
During the workshop, our Aboriginal trainer will help you create meaningful cultural planning and show you how to implement it. Our one day workshop will evolve your interpersonal skills, allowing you to effectively communicate with Aboriginal families and communities.
This course is designed for those working in the child protection industry as a service provider, case worker or manager.
