People with a disability, friends, family and carers are invited to join in Mudgee’s Walk, Talk and Roll.
The free fortnightly event will take place along the Lawson Park Track where all are welcome to join in for fun, friendship and exercise.
Organiser of the event, Social Futures Local Area Coordinator, Katrina Flagg says this is an opportunity for people to exercise for wellbeing, to meet with others and to find out about local services and supports.
“This will be a lovely informal walk where all are welcome to come along to meet people, to chat, to roll and to stroll. It’s a great way to make friends and connect with others in our community.”
After the walk there is an open invitation to meet for coffee, tea, or a milkshake and a chat at Muffin Break who are offering a special deal to the group with a coffee and cake or a milkshake and cake for $8.00.
The group will meet at 9am at the Lawson Park Track behind Big W every second Thursday on the following dates: 4 March, 18 March, 1 April, 15 April, 29 April and 13 May.
People who like to join in can roll up on the day, or if you have any questions or need information, you can call Social Futures Local Area Coordination Hotline on 1800 522 679.
