- NSW Health is constantly revising their advice to service providers within aged care for the latest directions visit the NSW Health website .
Until further notice – all residential aged care facilities must:
- ensure all staff and visitors wear a surgical mask within the facility
- ensure residents have a maximum of only two visitors each day.
- exclude visitors from the hot spot areas in NSW, Queensland or any other state with hot spots
- follow and maintain routine screening processes.
Anyone visiting residents who are terminal must follow previous public health directives. These directives include:
- screening of visitors
- a limit of two visitors for two hours
- wearing of full PPE by visitors
- visitors to be escorted in and out of the facility.
